Ask for the assumption first, then the objection. The push-back has to face the text, not a vague impression.
What has to be true for this to hold? What's the strongest objection?
Here's how I read this book. Push back where I'm off from the text, then ask me two questions that take it deeper.
Find the thing this passage never says, but the conclusion still depends on. Write it as one question, and quote the sentence that states the conclusion.
Why this helps
Agreement arrives quickly. A disagreement only holds if it can point at a sentence. Naming the point you don't accept keeps the reading from stopping at a paraphrase.

Where this came from
The first prompt is rewritten from the "what must be true" questions on Readever and Bumo AI. The second is rewritten from "push back rather than agree" on chapterly.ai. The third was written for this page.
More prompts: the collection.
Common questions
Is the point to reject the book?
No. The point is to see which assumptions the conclusion needs, and which sentence your reading misses.
How do I use this in EasyReadAI?
Highlight one passage and ask, or paste the prompt into Settings, then Reply style. One highlight at a time.
