Book Quote Widget for iPhone — Your Own Highlights, Daily

Open the Home Screen and reread a line you highlighted. The sentence comes from a passage you saved, not a quotation pulled from the web each day.

On your Home Screen, a new line daily. Reread a highlight at a glance, in the colors you like.

One line a day, from your own highlights

The rotation can use every excerpt, a shortlist you pick, or a filter by book. Choose the colors yourself. A different color changes how the line is shown, not the text you saved.

How to add it

  1. Save at least one note that contains excerpt text.
  2. Long-press the iPhone or iPad Home Screen.
  3. Tap Add Widget and find EasyReadAI.
  4. Choose Daily Excerpt.

Tap the excerpt to open its note.

How this differs from Today’s 5 quotes

The widget puts one highlight on the Home Screen. Today’s 5 quotes is the review you open inside the app. They are separate entry points, with no promise of synchronized refreshes. This is not spaced repetition, and it does not schedule the next line from “too easy” or “too hard.”

To read passages one by one in the app, see Today’s 5 quotes.

Limits

iOS only. It works on the iPhone and iPad Home Screen. Your library and notes stay on the device; the widget does not sync across devices. Anyone looking at the Home Screen can read the line. iOS decides when the next line appears.

Common questions

Where do the sentences come from?

From highlights you already saved, not a library of famous quotes on the web. The note needs excerpt text. An empty thought does not appear.

How do I add it to the Home Screen?

Long-press the Home Screen, tap Add Widget, find EasyReadAI, and choose Daily Excerpt. It works on iPhone and iPad.

Does it change every day?

It rotates one line a day. iOS decides when the widget actually refreshes, so a new line is not guaranteed at midnight. A short list can repeat.

Is this the same as Today’s 5 quotes?

No. The widget shows one highlight on the Home Screen. Today’s 5 quotes is an in-app review. They do not promise to refresh together, and this is not spaced repetition.
